Here is our how-to guide to setup X for your business:
First you will need to create a regular X account by visiting x.com/signup or by downloading the app and following the prompts. You will then be able to convert this to a business account after setup.
Once you have entered the required details and entered the verification code that X sends to you, you will then have the option to pick a profile picture. This will help you engage with your viewers. This picture could be your company logo or a relevant picture that stays within your brand. It can be a good idea to use the same or similar images across your social media platforms so that you stay consistent with branding. Optionally, you can skip this for now and add an image later.
Now enter a username that best fits your business. Depending on your business name, it may already have been taken so think about adding UK or something along these lines to make a username that they will accept. You can change your username after setup, so don’t worry if you are not sure what to put at the moment, just put something for the time being.
You now have the option to turn on notifications. This could be a good idea if you are looking for engagement through X although you have the option to skip this for now and turn this on after setup.
You will then be asked, what you would like to see on X. There will be two boxes in this section. On the first one there are a few options that you can choose from and you only need to select one or you can select more depending on any interests you may have or what might be good to see from a business perspective. The second box, then lists more specific areas of interest and you can select as many as you like.
You will then be asked to select at least one account to follow. It will give you a list of suggested accounts to follow.
You have now completed the setup for a regular X account and you will see the usual X feed page.
